Golden Valley Middle School (FAQs)

What time does school start?
o Regular school hours (Tuesday – Friday) are 7:40am – 2:11pm. 
o Late Start Modified Monday hours are 9:45am – 2:35pm.

Are parents allowed to walk students to class?
o Unfortunately, parents will not be permitted on campus to walk students to class.

Do students have to wear face masks at school?
o Yes, all students and staff are required to wear face coverings in all indoor spaces. As we receive further guidance, we will inform the community about any changes or adjustments.

Is there an after-school program available to students?
o Yes. For students to attend CAPS, parents must fill out an application at http://tinyurl.com/CAPSapp21

Are students be required to dress for PE? How much are PE clothes?
o Yes, as part of their PE class students will be required to change into PE clothes at the beginning of class.
o PE clothes are $10 for the shirt and $10 for the shorts, totaling $20.
o The purchasing of PE clothes will be scheduled through students’ PE class and each student will be notified as to their assigned day by their teacher.
